On August 22, 2024, a meeting of SSCIBSM scientists took place with Dr. Eric Bortz, Associate Professor of the Department of Biological Sciences, University of Alaska Anchorage. During the lecture, he familiarized those present with the principle of nanopore sequencing developed by Oxford Nanopore Technologies, conducted training on the use of the appropriate equipment, provided protocols preparation of samples for research. The attendees also received information on the basics of bioinformatic analysis of nucleotide sequences. At the end of the meeting, possible areas of cooperation were discussed
